The LG VX6100 appears to be locked to Verizon wireless. Thus it does not have a user-replaceable SIM card. The phone number gets programmed by Verizon staff when you purchase the phone.

it would be better to just buy an external charger for your phone and will only run around 20 dollars or less..this one was only listed for 15 off of an online auction site

Is the new cord/charger/transformer the EXACT same power specs? When your "dog ate your charger", it may have shorted out something in the Laptop? Was it plugged it when your dog ate it?

If it is not charging because the charging port is broken, you should go onto Ebay and buy a three dollar universal phone charger. It charges the battery outside of the phone, so a broken port can be ignored. Also, buy another battery so that you can rotate them out every 12 hours. This is the cheapest solution possible, costing under ten dollars to fix completely.

open the back cover of the phone and reconnect the flex to the pcb.

IS THIS PHONE MADE FOR VERIZON WIRELESS? B/C IF SO YOU CAN NOT PUT A SIM CARD IN THE PHONE.. VERIZON PHONES WILL NOT AND DO NOT TAKE SIM CHIPS. THIS SHOULD HELP YOU.. IF IT WAS A VERIZON OR SPRINT PHONE CHANCES ARE THERE IS NO PLACE FOR A SIM TO GO...I AM SURE OF THAT THANKS

I hate it when that happens! Batteries for cell phones these days are designed to only last about a year, and then the life will slowly decline from there. However, you seem to just have a faulty battery.

If you bought your phone through Verizon, they have a limited battery warranty program that lasts for one year. You can go to your nearest Verizon store and have them replace it, but make sure you bring your charger as well, they may want to just troubleshoot and test to make sure your charger isn't the problem.

If you are far from a Verizon store, or did not purchase your phone through them, you can purchase the batteries very cheap on ebay.. You wouldn't believe the markup on them!

I folded up a small piece of paper and put it in between the battery and back case.
