SOURCE: date display after down load, DSC-S650 Sony camera

you will not see the date and time on the thumbnail. look at the photo in full screen. make sure part of the photo is not "cropped" by checking to see if the arrows appear at the bottom and right. I bet the date & time is there, you are not seeing it.

Need to activate date/time stamp on Finepix AX200.

In playback mode, press DISP/BACK to select a playback display format. This will turn the Information display on, which will show you the date/time the picture was taken.

This camera does not have a Time/Date Stamp that actually stays on the picture like some cameras do. Instead, the Time/Date Stamp is included in the Image File Properties, and can be viewed or modified from any Windows PC.

R707wont work freeze of something problem

Sounds like the camera OS is running into a problem when it tries to store the new date information to memory. The data path could be corrupted, or it could be a faulty internal battery. Hopefully your camera still works when you bypass setting the time and date, so you can still use it.

Canon PowerShot A80 loses date/time settings when turned off

The camera has a watch battery inside that has expired. Many of the Canon Powershots have external access doors for replacement of this battery. Unfortunately though for the A80 it's not easy to replace. It's buried deep inside the camera behind the card reader slot. It can be viewed on page 4 of the following disassembly of a very similar A95:

http://qman.fotokala.ee/Kaamerad/PowerShotA95/index.html

Due to the complexity of accessing the battery, do NOT recommend that you try replacement yourself. Instead recommend that you continue to bypass on startup.

Blurry Pics and not able to set date/time

You can only set the date stamp in the “Post Card” resolution mode. Hit the “function” button, go down to the resolution selection (L, M, S, W, Postcard, etc.). Pick the “Post Card” setting. Hit the “menu” button and the “date stamp” menu will be active

Why does the date and time setting screen appear when I turn on the camera?

Turning on the camera while the date and time are not set or after the date and time settings have been cleared due to a total cut off of power (which occurs when batteries are dead and the camera is not being supplied power via AC adaptor) causes the date and time setting screen to appear on the monitor screen. When this happens, be sure to set the correct date and time before doing anything else.
