I don't know what I did to be honest but now I don't have any device drivers on my dell laptop that is running vista. So I decided to reinstall a clean install. In the process of this it is telling me no device drivers were found. Using my cd that came with the computer that has the device drivers on it I get this message. Make sure that the installation media contains the correct drivers, and then click ok. There is nothing on the cd or if there is it isn't finding it. I can't even get to the dest top. I have run diagnostics and they come back as running etc with no problems. I can't even get it to boot from the cd. Help!
Hi
Its very simple if ur using a new lapto, in the bios therre is new options call ata and ahci specification. just go for ata and then try to install the windows Vista.
Thats a bad install, reinstall the OS again, if you want it to boot from CD go into the bios and change the boot order to CD/DVD hit F10 and save settings, reboot and reinstall.
post back and let us know how you get on as i am sure i can help you further
kind regards

I tried to reinstall using the bios and f10 function like you suggested. I still cannot get my drivers to load. A message comes up saying do device drivers were found on the os cd or on the cd that has the device drivers. Now what do I do?
