My dell 1700n printer keeps jamming. I have switched paper and cleaned it but still it jams on every page.I tried leveling it off but it is still jamming. I also reversed the pick roller bands but it is still jamming. It is jamming inside the printer so that I have to remove the image drum to remove the jammed paper. It is always in the same spot I am not sure how many pages I have printed but they are quite a lot. It started doing it a little bit and now it does it every time but it progressed quickly.
Remove the image drum and at the front of the printer you will see a rectangle flap that lifts up. Under the flap are three rollers. Clean them and it should take care of the problem. I use a product call Caikleen, it is a rubber cleaner and rejuvinator.

If it?s always in the same spot then you can narrow your search for the problem. -Look where the leading edge of the paper is getting jammed up for an obstruction, especially if the paper is folded in an accordion fashion. Look closely, I?ve fixed many a paper jam by pulling out a corner of a page stuck in a recess. -If the paper path is clear then the next thing I would suspect is the paper you are using. -Try new paper that isn?t bowed, folded or curled. Before inserting into the paper try flex it back and forth along the width and length, then insert making sure to slide the two side guides and the back guide until they fit snugly against the stack of paper. -Other things to check are the rollers where the leading edge of the paper is getting stuck. Make sure they are clean. -Also make sure your toner cartridge is inserted into the printer correctly. If you have a spare try using that, sometimes cartridges can drag on the paper.
