I have taken the door seal off my machine, but cannot for the life of me get it back in and on the machine. I've spent over an hour trying to put it into place, I'm not even sure I've got it the right way round. I've no idea where the spring goes either. Yes, I know, stupid female!
Can anyone give me simple to follow instructions on which way round it goes, how to fit it into the machine, where does the spring go and how do I get it on please.

Re: how to fit a door seal on a Zanussi FJ 1295
This is a faily easy task
essential to lubricate the seal with washing-up fluid in the slot which goes on the tub. enter the lip of the tub into the slot on the seal and work round in both directions forcing seal on with thumbs. the spring goes into a groove so as to keep it in position on the tub. then similiarly, put the seal on the cabinet and follow up with the plastic ring

This is not easy and there is a real knack to it. You will find it easier to have a second person helping. One holds the spring in position at the top and the other at the bottom and roll the spring over your hands into the slot
unplug machine. Pull off retainer clip from the front , with both hands inside push up the seal untill its free. Then with the new seal apply washing up liquid to the gap on the seal.
And fit this is fiddly. Then pull the spring you removed to loosen abit and with a screw driver to keep it in place throught the door lock thats why youve unpluged it. strech the spring around. the ease on the front part of the seal and replace the clip. put on a wool wash to check for leaks.
