Freezer working fine, the fridge part stopped working after a power cut

remove back panel of freezer. check if there is excessive ice build-up preventing air flow. if there is, then defrost carefully with a hairdryer (with appliance switched off) if no ice or frosting on pipework, check if compressor is running. if it is or hot to the touch or clicking, then you have a compressor fault and replacement is not diy. if compressor not running, then probably module fault

beneath the freezer usualy installed timer and a fan look for a hidden screw on the sides...check the fan bushing f its lose or has a clearance change it f not check for the timer if its busted...replace.. becareful...electric shock can kill

your unit may have experienced a power surge as a result of the power out ask your nabours if they have any electronics in there homes that are not working if so the electricity provider you go with must under law pay for the repair in any case it sounds like in 99 % of cases were power goes out and comes back on with a unit no longer working the power strkie is to balme have the power board tested for damage

Hi,
Many times a freezer and/or refrigeratordo not work right because of a dirty condenser coil...there are also many otherthings that can go wrong.
If you are hearing a clicking or buzzing thencheck out the last two tips.
