Question about Sony VPL HS10 Multimedia Projector
A patch of what looks like purple crayon scribble lines, pixelated, has suddenly appeared on the bottom right corner of the screen, from my vpl hs10. (No crayons in the house! and it's not on the screen!) I've changed the filter, blown the dust out, cleaned the lens and cover, etc. with no change what-so-ever. It appears to be more internal. Any ideas?
I took mine apart because I have a pink blob and scribble lines coming from it. It is definately the LCD inside that is part of what they call the prism block. The bad news is that you can't buy the LCD individually, and the block assembly is $1000. I contacted Sony about this and that is the solution they gave me. Hopefully, some of you have an extended warranty, because I don't see it being worth fixing for that cost. Try looking for a junked one I guess.

Sounds like the same problem that I just started having. Although my scribble lines are yellow. Personally I'm thinking that one of the three LCD panels has cracked internally and will need to be replaced.

I also have this problem but the "scribbles" are yellow. This projector has been a great performer and I'd really like to fix it if possible. Any insight would be much appreciated.
