Did you click on the computer to sewing machine button under the display? It has to be in that section to accept files.

I just bought a 730 Bernina sewing and embroidery system. I just tried to send design to embroidery machine and got the message I have no memory left. How can I add memory?

My suggestion is to transfer unused designs onto a USB stick or connect your sewing machine to your computure and save them. Then you can delele them and have enough space to put additional designs on your machine. You can call your dealer and ask, but I dont think it can be done without sending it back to the manufactor. If it can be done it would know doubt be fairly expensive.

Loaded autodigitizing onto our new computer with Windows 7. Everything loaded just fine but when I try to open program it does not recognize the dongle.

There is an update for dongles and windows 7.

Info on Husqvarna Viking website - http://www.husqvarnaviking.com

When installing the 4D Embroidery System onto Windows 7 computers, the dongle drivers may not initially work correctly, as the 4D Embroidery System installs a set of dongle drivers which were created before Windows 7.
Download and install the latest dongle drivers prior to installing the 4D Embroidery System. Failure to do this, may result in the "Dongle driver not found (E0009)" when you try to open the 4D modules.
Please follow the steps below to install the latest dongle drivers BEFORE installing the 4D Embroidery System
  1. Download and install the latest Dongle Drivers.
  2. Insert your 4D Dongle.
  3. Install your 4D Embroidery System software (and all updates).
  4. Open your 4D Embroidery System software to confirm that your dongle is working correctly.
If you installed the 4D Embroidery System software before installing the latest dongle drivers and if you experience problems such as the error message "Unable to start hasplms service..."; download and install the latest Dongle Drivers.

Link to dongle drivers - http://www.vsmsoftware.net/downloads/HASP/haspusersetup.exe

Good luck.

Singer Quatra Futara 350

I know this sounds too easy, but I found that when I got that message, I had actually not turned the sewing machine on ... or the USB cable from the computer was not connected. Try saving your design under File ... Save as .... into a folder where you know you can find it ( or on the desktop ), then turn the sewing machine off, back on, and reboot the computer software.

Can not send designs from pc to mc 10000 .

Hi all have just solved the problem with a kind lady from Janome, the problem was my internal memory was all used up on my mc10001 - answer is delete some of your designs that you have put on your machine and gauranteed the next design you send via USB will be fine - no messages - woohoo im not going insane - sigh of relief. Anyway that is the solution - just delete a couple of designs and free up the space.

Janome MC 10000 with Easy Transfer using jef files

Your internal memory files could be full and need some designs deleted, the monogram design might not be centred in the hoop so it registers outside the sewing field, The hoop selected might be too small for the design.

Cannot get Janome 10001 to read via USB direct link from computer

here's how I do it.
1. Get the design into jef or sew format (the only kinds janome reads). You probably already knew this, but some newbies try to use pes or art files.
2. Save it onto your computer (and remember the name of the file). I have a folder in my computer labelled "embroidery files" and then have subfolders dividing up those designs - such as animals, flowers, fonts.
3. Hook your sewing machine up to the computer via the USB cable.
4. Pull up your Janome "Easy Transfer" program (it came as a CD with your machine - this is NOT the customizing software).
5. Use that program to find your embroidery file. It's not going to show sew and jef in the same file - you'll have to switch back and forth.
6. On your sewing machine, click on the bottom button (under the screen) that shows the computer to the sewing machine (the third one).
7. Now click on the computer software "write to machine" or whatever it's called (it will be on the top tool bar).
8. Your file will be written to the sewing machine's memory and organized by the embroidery hoop size (A, B, C).
9. It will stay in the sewing machine memory until you use the cable hookup to delete it (reverse of the writing).
10. The 10001 software ate lots of the resident memory in the sewing machine - you can't store as many designs in it as the 10000 would allow. That's perfectly ok, as it only takes a few moments to move designs in and out of the machine.

To be perfectly honest, I vastly prefer doing the USB cable transfer to using the memory card jammed into the card reader deal. It's easy and quick.
