Screen automatocally switches between zoom settings
My Sony Wega just started exhibiting strange behaviour. I have always had the default screen zoom setting set to "Full" but could, of course, switch to one of the other zoom settings manually when desired. Now, when I turn the TV on, it begins switching between the zoom modes automatically (flipping randomly every few seconds). It will do this indefinitely until I manually set the screen to "Full" (or "zoom" or whatever). The point is, once I select a screen setting, it stays put. Weird.....
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The driver transistor is gone . get another wega from a thrift store if you want for $10 or craigslist. CRT 's are getting harder to dispose with the lead shielding. you could pick up a flat screen for not much these days, Plasmas look more movie like

I have the same tv. On your remote push menu, then go to settings, and then screen. Put the auto wide to on. And keep the picture mode on normal, not the zoom or wide zoom. If its in HD it will fit the screen. If its not in HD it will crop the sides. This worked for me, hope it works out.
