On Control Panel-Touch Screen, Down right Side there is a tab to change the languages/Language Setting.
Even if it is Chinese or Portuguese language showing just click on the down right side button on touch screen, a new menu will appear. From there you can select your desired language.English-Chinese etc.

Hi Hello, the printer comes with an installation CD in the CD is inserted when given the choice of language for the installation of drivers, maybe you were wrong and install the drivers in Portuguese.

What you do is the following.

1 go to start, in the section "All Programs" must be one of epson, uninstall all drivers.

2 resets the printer CD, or if you have not download the drivers on the official website of www.epson.com

3 will begin when an option that shows what language you want to do the installation (Portuguese, Spanish and English)

How do you change the language?

I had the same problem with my Canon Smartbase MP730. Printer properties was in Portuguese, no matter how many times the driver was uninstalled and reinstalled.

By running Filemon from SysInternals I realized that when showing the printer properties files in the

C:\BJPrinter\CNMWINDOWS\Canon MP730 Printer\LanguageModules\0409\

folder were created. One of those files was CNMmhya.hlp. When clicking on it a Help-window with Portuguese text shows up - even though the code 0409 means English. This is a symptom of the problem. This file was copied from somewhere in the Windows folder.

To fix this annoying problem, the following worked for me:

-> Unplug the printer
-> Uninstall the driver
-> Rename the following folder with the portuguese language driver stuff which still remains, even after uninstallation of the driver:

C:\WINDOWS\system32\spool\drivers\w32x86\3

(if you cannot rename it, reboot and try again). You should first check that there are indeed portuguese help-files in this folder. To do that, click on one of the .hlp files. If they are not your problem could be a different one, but it could also be that the files are stored nearby in the file system.

-> Reinstall the driver with the language of your choice. This time there won't be Portuguese files blocking proper installation of your new files.
-> Replug the printer to finish the driver installation

Now you should have finally gotten rid of the Portuguese (which may seem Spanish or Italian to some) text in Printer related windows.

Epson dx6050 printer

A regular remove and reinstall will not correct this issue. To remove the French/Spanish/Portuguese language driver and get a working install of the English driver, use the detailed instructions below:

STEP ONE: USB PRINTER DRIVER REMOVAL

1) Click START and select CONTROL PANEL.
2) Click ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS.
3) Find EPSON PRINTER SOFTWARE and click on it once to highlight it.
4) Click CHANGE/REMOVE.
5) Select the icon for your printer on the MODEL tab.
6) If a UTILITY tab is present next to MODEL, click UTILITY and check all boxes.
7) Click OK to commence uninstalling. Follow the prompts until the uninstall is complete.
8) Next look for a separate entry in ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS that reads EPSON STATUS MONITOR. If you do not see this entry, don't worry; skip to step 12. Otherwise, go on to the next step.
9) Highlight EPSON STATUS MONITOR and click CHANGE/REMOVE.
10) When asked: DO YOU WANT TO CONTINUE UNINSTALLING, select YES.
11) After a short delay, when you get a message indicating that the uninstall process has completed, click OK.
12) Disconnect the USB cable from the back of the printer or computer.
13) Restart the computer.

For the next step-give me your email add so that i can send you the instructions- Thanks!!
