Hi,
I have a Zire 72 and put Palm tom tom navigator program on it which I have been using with no problems for several years now. Recently when I tried to use my map program as normal the signal of the gps is not be detected. I have tried rebooting my palm, hot sync and my gps is flashing the correct colors. My blue tooth is turned on. Can anyone help me or should I buy a brand new system?

The best thing to do is to go to the free palm chat service
they offer. I have used this and it worked good for me. Here is a link to the
free chat service. Scroll to the bottom of the page and you will see a Palm
Chat. From there click on the link that says Chat Now and follow the online
prompts. Best wishes...I hope this will help you.
No sim card in the Zire 72. On-board memory on the motherboard only to store records not directed to or on expansion memory card. Zire 72 battery changeout not designed to be user serviceable. Undertake at your peril (unless you are very steady handed, patient, and very very careful). The 72 is probably the most difficult of the Palms to change batteries. Go to: http://forum.brighthand.com Navigate to the Zire 72 section and read the posts. There are even detailed photos and uTube movies that deal with changing the battery. I have used their forum for years. Lots of help there.
Unfortunately Palm battery has a life cycle which is about 500 recharge after that will not charge well and will be end of its life. However you can replace the battery. Which can be obtained easily a 3.7V 700mA and above will work fine just make sure size will match
I tried that as well as tried a hard reset but no luck.
