How to cook smoked ham in slow cooker

try Google.. i don't think the slow cooker cares if the meat is smoked or not.
if you're still struggling, try Google "pork" "cooking times" "temperature" "slow cooker" in various combinations.

I have an all clad pressure cooker I need to know how long to cook a 5 pound pork roast for pork tocos

Hi Sharon! If you want the seasonings to get all thru the meat, I would cut it into about 6 pieces. Add your seasonings and cook it for 20 - 25 minutes. I have been cooking for 50 years and bought one of the electric digital pressure cookers. Liked it so much I bought another one. I made a pork roast about 2 weeks ago and I cooked mine for 25 minutes, It was so tender I could pull it apart with dinner forks. The seasonings I used were fresh diced onions ( 1 med) 2 cloves fresh garlic diced, salt and pepper to taste. Hope this helps.

I left raw chicken out for 5 hours is it still safe to cook i put it in bag then froze it can i still cook it

Hard to say for sure. How cold was the raw chicken when you first put out? How warm was the room it was left in? But there are two REAL questions you need to ask yourself....

  1. If I have to ask if the chicken is safe....what does that tell me?
  2. Which is more important...some chicken or my health (and that of others who may partake?
You may cook it up and no harm done. But what if it did start to go bad and you don't quite cook it thoroughly enough? And even though you froze it, salmonella or e-coli can survive in the freezer...they just go dormant until warmed back up.

Only you can decide what to do...but I'll pass on an invite to supper!

I've lost the instructions on how to use my slow cooker. Do I need to put water in the base?

Which base are you referring to? The removal black base yes, you need to add water according to what you are cooking for example a stew, a chicken, beans etc., The cooking element, which is the base after you remove the black base in which the glass cover fits over you do not need to add water.

Poor fitting lid

Most lids on crocks are loose fit due to pressure release that is required in most receipts... read your receipt for example BEAN SOUPS, or LENTILS and you will find that the should be tilted for proper cooking.
Cooking time in a crock is different from stove top or oven cooking... Remember the saying that "Heat cooks and fire burns" ... well, never is this more true than with your new slow cooker. So here are a few examples for you to try:
FIRST RECEIPT: take out some fresh or frozen meat your choice' dice up and onion or simply just cut the onion in 1/2 for easy removal later. I tend to season/salt>>> my pork, lamb , and chicken; however I do season/salt beef if I am only cooking it in water>>> for like tender shredded beef tacos. Anyway set your crock on high in the morning or at night before going to bed
( warning do not leave your crock unattended if you have children under 12 years of age around that might try to serve themselves when the crock is cooking)and don't except to have the children not want to investigate you savory dish>> they might and will get 2nd degree burns from a 215 degree cooking temp.
SECOND RECEIPT>>
Try a 7 or 15 Bean Soup add your smoked turkey or pork ham to the pot with seasoning/salt and an onion. set on high and go to work . When you cook home you and or your family will be delighted to find a wonderful home cooked meal waiting for your taste buds to enjoy!!!
good luck
