You have to to turn on the "find me" button on the mouse. It is usually a pin sized hole (see your manual) once you have the find me button on goto the bluetooth manager on your PC or Mac and link the 2. Sometimes it will ask you for a password, the default is usually 000 but again refer to the manual. If you don't have one paste your question on your google browser

Compatible Mouse to replace one I have -- new

The wireless dongle plugged into the computer is on a specific frequency and you wont be able to peer it with a different mouse. However if it is a Bluetooth and not wireless, you can pair another Bluetooth mouse no problem.

My mouse connects but won't work on my mouse pad or most other surfaces

One of three things is the problem:

1. the mouse is dirty underneath. Clean it with soap and water.

2. the surface isn't good. Try it on a piece of plain white paper or a book.

3. the mouse is defective. They do go out after a while...

Oh, also make sure the antenna for it is in direct line with the mouse and not blocked by something inbetween. It shouldn't be too far away. This is usually the problem :)

Mouse does not work with my MacBook Pro (OS X v.10.6.6) I have tried installing Macally Input manager v.1.2 but it does not even find mouse...'continue' is grayed out. Also tried USB Overdrive-301...

Sounds like you are missing a driver. Google the exact name of the mouse along with "Mac," and "Driver." Should be able to find what is needed that way. Be sure to check on the packaging that it isn't bizarrely incompatible with Macs, they can be difficult that way.

How to install wirless mouse

It depends on the wireless technology used by the mouse.

1. Infrared
If your mouse used Infrared for communicating with your PC, you will have to place an Infrared receiver on your desk, in line with the mouse you want to install. You will definitely have to install the drivers supplied with the mouse/Infrared receiver.

2. Bluetooth
If the mouse uses Bluetooth, first you either will have to install a Bluetooth dongle on your PC/Laptop (if it doesn't have Bluetooth integrated) or activate the Bluetooth on your PC/Laptop. Then, using the Bluetooth software supplied with the dongle or PC/Laptop, search for new devices and choose the mouse to pair with. You may have to install the software provided with the mouse for if to work.

Lost my manual and i need to know how to make the device discoverable.

Most wireless mice have a connect button on the bottom or side. Usually hitting that while moving mouse will make it found some of them have a button on the usb part as well and you have to push both of them within a few secs of each other.
