My black and dacker ice crusher stopped working in between . i was blending some batter in it., amd suddenly some fuel came out of matchine and it stopped.

The seals, bushings or bearings in the attachment are bad. Especially if you have run it through the dishwasher.

can you hear the motor working.

You have burnt up the machine. It will no longer function and would be unsafe to try further. Replace it.

The Ice Reservoir has a release botton at the back of the reservoir. The button must be pushed down at which time you can lift from the back and remove the ice reservoir. You can download the operating instructions for your machine here:

This machine will not blend ice cream.

Ice floats, if you want to add more ice pour almost all of it out into separate container, add ice to remaining mixture and blend.

I think the ice was too hard for a hand blender. I think the impact has caused the blade to separate from the shaft or caused the shaft to separate internally. If your blender is still under warranty you might be able to get it fixed. Note: none of the "Smoothy" recipes in the manual call for ice. One uses ice-cream. One uses "partially thawed frozen strawberries" and one uses sherbet.

I have had great luck talking to Back to Basics - here is their info...if it is new- should be under warranty.
