I'm trying to connect to the internet with DSL after canceling my cable internet. I already have a wireless router and a 2Wire Homeportal 1000s (not wireless) already. I'm trying to find out if I can use the Homeportal for the modem, and the Netgear wireless router (WGR64) for wireless internet?
Is there a way to put my 2Wire HomePortal in Bridge mode and just use it as a 'modem' so I can use the Netgear for wireless access?
Also, does anyone know if this is even possible with a Mac? Otherwise, I guess I am just wasting my time. I've found some small info online that seems like the 2wire Homeportal does support Mac. I have the airport card and wi-fi.
Any help, links, or any information at all would be helpful. I'm trying to not have to go buy a whole new Wireless DSL Modem/Router. Especially when I already have the 2 separately right now. It's just about connecting them together!
Thank you!!!
