I have the same problem.... I have a Nikon 80-200 AF Nikkor 1:4.5-5.6D. I installed my Nikon AF Nikkor 28-80mm 1:3.3-5.6 G and still have the problem...

The 28 and 80-200 work well on my Nikon F65.
