A small appliance repair shop should be able to replace the thermostatic microswitch that keeps the heat on. Coffee pots are really not too expensive if you cant get it fixed.
Hi, I have owned that coffee maker for years. After it brews coffee, it does not have a warmer to keep it hot. It has a thermally insulated carafe. Such as regular lunchbox thermos jugs have. The reasoning behind this is that coffee heated after it is brewed spoils in a short time. (Of course, unheated coffee gets cold). What that translates to for you with regard to no steam is this. As soon as the coffee maker finishes brewing your coffee, open the top of the carafe, stick in a spoon and stir it.Then pour it. (I learned the stirring part working in a restaurant). If you have to wait before you drink it, do the same. Stir it first. Hope this has been helpful Love that grinder! Best Regards, Mark
I do love our Cuisinart pot...but find they only last 2-3 years...so my suggestions is: if the pot is still in warranty, call Cuisinart for a new one...they are great about it. If you don't know if it is still in warranty, call them, give them the number and they will tell you.

This happens when the machine needs cleaned. Fill coffee maker with white vineger instead of water. Turn grind off, make sure empty pot is in place. Brew a pot of hot vineger. Repeat. Brew a pot of hot water. Repeat. This process removes mineral buildups inside machine. If you have access to filtered water, start using that to brew your coffee. I do and probably do this process 1 per 6 weeks.
I have a cuisinart model dgb-600bc coffee grind & brew, didn't have a manual with it when purchased, plugged in it & hit the on button, lights up when pushing in on it, but let it go & it stops, but doesn't brew nothing. HELP -
Unplug for 20 minutes to fully reset, then: Cuisinart Coffeemaker Decalcification Process Run 2 cups distilled white vinegar and 2 cups water through the system - brew it like it was regular coffee. Then run plain water through the coffemaker to rinse the vinegar out and make sure the decalcification was successful. Repeat as needed. Don't forget to remove the charcoal water filters first. -Tha Mp3 Doctor
