I had the power go down on my Verifone Omni 3200SE and now it beeps and has this on the display - File error - VSCPT .DAT - is there anyway to fix this?

The continuous beep indicates a break in the PED (pin entry device) connections on the main board or the PED fence is bad. It will need repair by a reputable repair facility.
First this is a credit card terminal from Verifone. That file error means the internal memory is wiped. Sometimes it can be recovered sometimes it can't.
At the error screen hit FUNCTION and 7 together it will ask for a password. 1 Alpha alpha 66831 then enter or function. If it says SYSTEM= VP......... Try hitting the 0 then enter and enter again if it works it will dial to your bank for a new download. If it dials and does not connect give me a call.
