hi robyn. A washer making a loud noise during spin cycle can also be caused by a faulty drive pulley. The pulley is what the belt (if applicable to yourwasher) rides on to spin your washers tub. The pulley can be made of plastic or metal. It could be simply worn out or just loose.27 Jul 2015
a loud noise comes when you forget to remove shipping bolts after installation or if the shocks are worn out it makes noise thirdly the bearings might be worn out if the washer is more than 6years old
Hi,
As the washing machine is making a loud noise I think the first thing I would request you to do is lift up the washer from the front, remove the belt and check the pump by rotating the pump pulley manually. If does not move freely then replace the pump.
Let us know if you want any further clarification.

the smell is your clutch and the lack of draining is a clogged washer drain protector. see these at www.repairclinic.com drain protector is part 541811 and clutch is 2670. go there enter model number and scroll down to the red 100 click it and look for these part numbers.
The screaming noise is probably from a dry bearing in the motor, it will probably come and go and shouldnt cause to much problem, they are supposed to be self lubricating but sometime they run dry.
