  • Anonymous Dec 09, 2008

buy a rebuilt one from the web which are readily available after disassembling the agitator and tub the complete source and instructions are available on the web through a couple of suppliers.
or while its apart see if there is a plug to add oil but chances are the seal is trashed

The spin cycle is very noisy. What could be the problem?

hi robyn.
A washer making a loud noise during spin cycle can also be caused by a faulty drive pulley. The pulley is what the belt (if applicable to yourwasher) rides on to spin your washers tub. The pulley can be made of plastic or metal. It could be simply worn out or just loose.27 Jul 2015

My washing machine is making a loud screaming noise..it's still washing my clothes but when it's on the spin cycle it's almost unbareable.

Hi,
As the washing machine is making a loud noise I think the first thing I would request you to do is lift up the washer from the front, remove the belt and check the pump by rotating the pump pulley manually. If does not move freely then replace the pump.
Let us know if you want any further clarification.

Loud noise, then not so loud, but now electrical burning smell and little draining

the smell is your clutch and the lack of draining is a clogged washer drain protector. see these at www.repairclinic.com drain protector is part 541811 and clutch is 2670. go there enter model number and scroll down to the red 100 click it and look for these part numbers.

Loud screaming sound during spin cycle

The screaming noise is probably from a dry bearing in the motor, it will probably come and go and shouldnt cause to much problem, they are supposed to be self lubricating but sometime they run dry.
