Memory not avalible on my mp3

I have a jnc 2gig mp3 player that only has 150MB of space for storing songs. i have deleted all songs and recordings off the device, but when i view it in windows explorer and media player, it shows that 1.91gigs have been used up. there are no files in any of the folders on the device. why is it like this and how do i get rid of whatever is clogging the memory?

It might be that u have saved the files in a different place without realising or u have replicated the songs.

Filled my mp3 player to nearly full, so that not one more song would fit on it, and then i must have accidently pressed the record button. Now when i switch the MP3 player on it says "MEMORY IS FULL,...

since the memory of your mp3 is full, dnt try to record or put any song on it. Except if there's a memory card space for it then you can upgrade and continue to load songs. If u still see memory full warning at start up, then try to delete some songs from it. Goodluck.

Go to my computer scroll to sansa or your MP3 player and open the music folder and open each sub folder and delete Songs manually then delete the folders themselves then format a couple of times hope this works

Memory on my mp3 is almost full without any songs on it.

Try this: Connect your MP3 player to your computer. Open "My Computer". You should see your MP3 player connected. Right click on it. Click on FORMAT. This should completely wipe everything on your MP3 player (except for the original necessary files that came on it origianlly). You should then be able to get all of your space back.

My Sansadisk want let me add music to it.

You are attempting to add music to the disk function on your device make sure it is on the mtp function so that all of your memory is avalable. this is done when you dturn it on and then hook up to your computer. You'll figure it out I did the same thing a couple times - Good Luck

Won't delete songs

EEK i know what this is , the memory cells or NAND/Flash storage on the mp3 is dying as you cannot delete it , you can try to add an sd/mmc/xd card if your mp3 supports to add and delete songs as it wont be affected it but it wont cure the fact that you cant delete it .

Alternatively you can update the mp3 player firmware by downloading it from the web or you can try to return it under warrently (number in support manual)

As a last resort you can connect it to the pc right click it and press format this will erase all data /everything on your mp3.
