This could be a problem with the ink build up in the waste resevoir. Take out the cartridge and using a flashlight look and see if there is a build up of ink near the waste tank area. This is a spunge that captures the ink that it doesn't use. There is a sensor that gets blocked.

This error message appears on the printer screen when the printer thinks
the wrong toner cartridge is installed. To clear it or identify a
service requirement, follow the steps below. NOTE: If you succeed in resolving the problem at any stage during the procedure, you not need to perform the remaining steps.
Open the top front cover of the printer. If the display DOES NOT read Close cover or Insert cartridge, the 32 error is not caused by the toner cartridge and printer service will be required to fix the problem.
Make sure the correct toner cartridge is installed for this printer model.
Check Lexmark for a list of compatible cartridges for your printer.
If the wrong toner cartridge is installed, remove it and install the correct one.
If
the correct toner cartridge is installed, it may not be seated
correctly. To ensure that this is not the cause of the error, do the
following:
Turn off the printer.
Reseat the toner cartridge.
Close the lid.
Power the printer back on and check the display.
If
reseating the toner cartridge does not clear the error message and the
error started as soon as you installed this particular toner cartridge,
the cartridge may be broken. You can check this as follows:
Power
off the printer and then reinstall the old cartridge. (You can also try
a different new cartridge to see if that clears the error.)
If
the error does disappear, the problem may lie with this cartridge.
Please contact the point of purchase, especially if the cartridge is
brand new out of the box.
If the error cannot be
cleared by putting in a new toner cartridge or one that is known to be
working, the printer may require service to fix the problem.
The electronics on the cartridge have gone bad. Sometimes cartridges short. Take the cartridge back to where you bought it (they should give you credit for any remaining ink) and buy a new cartridge.
The 10.00.00 SUPPLIES MEMORY ERROR is based on the e-label. To clear the error, do the following: NOTE: If the error occurs, it should appear at beginning of life, causing the error message after first installing the cartridge. Turn the printer off and on to clear the message.
Put in the old catridge and see what happens.
If OK put in the new one again. Verify that the print cartridge is a genuine HP cartridge. Check that the E-label reader is functioning correctly. Check that there is contact between the E-label chip on the print cartridge and the E-label reader on the printer. To verify this contact, insert a new print cartridge. Remove it again. Check for scratches on the e-label chip and on the cartridge. If contact is being made, replace the print cartridge (part number: Q2610A). If contact is not being made, check the toner guides to see if they are in the proper position, or that the cartridge is not damaged. If the printer has a 500-sheet Tray 3 installed, turn the printer off again and replace the print cartridge with a new HP print cartridge. Turn the printer on again. If the error does not clear, turn the printer off and remove tray 3. Turn the printer on and verify if the error clears.
HP has recently discovered that a 10.00.00 Supplies Memory Error can occur when Tray 3 is faulty.
Remove the cartridge.
Make sure that you removed a piece of clear plastic tape that covers the ink-jets. It's placed there to prevent the ink from drying-out while the cartridge has been sitting on the shelf at the computer store.
Re-insert the cartridge, and be sure that it "clicks" into place.
Can you find a friend with a similar HP printer, i.e., one that accepts the same model-number of ink-cartridge? If the cartridge gives the same error-message in the other printer, it's time to responsibly recycle your "dead" cartridge, and give the brand-new cartridge to your friend, for his/her usage.
Hi: I'm also having this problem after I had refilled the cartridge.
