Question about LG RU-44SZ61 44" Rear Projection HDTV-Ready Television
Same thing happened with mine, I unplugged it and plugged in back in and now it works - hopefully for a little while longer

I have been having the same issue with mine. After reading this solution, I tried just this... I pulled out the bulb holder (with bulb) and shook it. Once I put it back in it worked. My LG is not quite 3 years old but I first had this issue about 7 months in with increased frequency of the problem.

I just had the same problem with mine. I figured the bulb was getting old. I was understandably reluctant to drop $200 for a new bulb, so just to be sure, I unplugged it and replugged it and it was back to normal. Hope your solution is that simple.

Have you ever replaced the lamp in it? It sounds like a lamp that is on its way out. Sometimes taking the lamp out and shaking it a bit will fix it temporarily as it redistributes the mecury in it.
