SOURCE: My computer isn't detecting my Sansa mp3 player anymore.
First, make sure the lock switch isn't engaged.
Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + (or Record) button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + (or Record) button in. Keep holding the volume + (or Record) button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard.
If you get the problem where MTP Device keeps popping up continuously, uninstall the “MTP Device” by going to Start --> Control Panel-->System--> Hardware--> Device Manager (you computer may vary slightly, depending on Windows Version).

SOURCE: sansa e250...computer will not detect
If you are using a USB connector [that connects extra ports to your computer] it sometimes doesnt work... so if possible hook the USB sansa cable to the main ports in the back of the server. It might also work to hook it in, and then go to 'My Computer' and see if it shows up there. Good Luck =]

Turn the player off before you plug it in and if it doesn't find it then turn it on while plug in.
