Some more suggestions to see if your remote control has just lost it's programming is try unplugging your television and taking the batteries out of the remote control for atleast 5 minutes. If this doesn't work, or you've tried tvtek's advice up top and you still can't get your remote control to work, I would try ordering a original replacement remote control for your specific television. I would not recommend purchasing a universal remote, because half the time the problem with it not working could just be caused by it using the incorrect code. If you go to a site like http://www.remotecontrolscenter.com and look through their site for the exact model number of your television and purchase that remote control than you'll have a good idea if it's the remote or the television. Most likely you'll find it was the remote control!

What I would do to confirm your original remot is working or not, go to the store where you purchased the TV and see if your remote will operate other Ilo TV's. If it does then your TV's remote sensor is bad, if it doesn't purchase a new Ilo remote control as universal remotes are sometimes no good.
