For the Graco Snug Ride it should be set at position III, snap bar angle 1. Also, you can get the whole manual on the baby trend website. Here's the exact link if you need it. I had to do the same thing. Hope this helps. http://www.babytrend.com/download/2007061213547311_new_instructions.pdf
WOW!! Thanks...I bought a used Sit N Stand LX, couldn't figure
out what the 'seat bar' was all about. Your solution took me right to the info I needed. Thought the bar was just an accessory not a necessity!!
I don't know if it will help, but we have been frantically searching for a manual for the Sit-n-stand LX III that we bought back in 2002. Like you, we have had no luck until my wife searched through some files and found some old manuals to include the LX III. If you repost with an email address, we can scan and email you the 7 page manual.

Fitting your Graco Snug Ride infant seat into a Graco stroller is usually easy to do -- the exact instructions just depend on which stroller you have. Typically, all you have to do is fold the stroller's canopy back, recline the seat (if it reclines), and snap the car seat in (backwards -- facing the rear of the stroller). You can hear it lock in place when it's in correctly. Your stroller's manual will have specific instructions, and if you don't have the manual you can find it online.
It does. However on ours I removed the adjustment bar for both the front and rear seats. The front seat seems to be more stable like this. Also, by removing the adjustment bar on the front seat it give the front baby more leg room.
basically, you pull the ******** the center of the back snug -- however, this particular stroller will not sit at 90 degrees to the ground if that's what you're looking to do, the seatback can only be as up as far as the top comes nearly even with the frame (you run out of adjustment room)
Best bet is to give Graco a call. 800-345-4109 I have done it before, you just have to gauge that it looks right. Put on the cover, fit the top (head) part first, then make sure the sides are on good then the bottom (feet) then you need to pull the straps through the slits to cover the shoulders, slide on the chest buckle pieces. Do you still have your manual? I would expcet them to have a diagram of this. :)
