Monitor problem Hia there. Recently, straight after logging on, my whole screen shifts to the right by about 50-100px, and 'shimmers'... the only way to resolve it, is to change the screen output to Notebook, which it should be at to begin with. However, whenever the laptop is restarted it goes back to monitor and notebook display. Any advice would be much appreciated. Jim

    Cheers!

I've downloaded the new driver and installed it, but it hasn't worked.... :(

I have noticed that when right click on desktop > graphics option > Output to > always shows as notebook + monitor. I can change it no problems, but on reboot, it changes back to how it was...

    ANy ideas?

    cheers

    Jim

You may be better downloading the latest video adapter driver for your notebook and see if there is any change, as it does'nt sound as if it's a screen problem, it may just be a corrupt driver. http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/devices.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=gen&SystemID=LAT_PNT_P3_C400&os=WW1&osl=EN

Something in the softwar has changed, have you tried a system restore to before you noticed it happening, but remember any updates you have done will be removed, although if a restore does'nt work you can reverse the restore.
