Are you positive that your city has not done the Digital Conversion? Some Cities are doing it early before the February deadline. Also make sure you are tuning in to the correct channels. Meaning that if on your Cable Provider ABC was on Channel 3 that does not mean that ABC with still be on Channel 3 after you have your Cable turned off. Most of the Time the Local Stations Tag will let you know what channel its on. It will be something like "KWAS ABC 27" So on your TV you would Tune it to channel 27 to get ABC and the same fore NBC , FOX, CBS , etc...
I hope this helps Take Care =)

You probably just need to reset the tv back to antenna mode. In the TV menu you will find a channel section that will let you pick cable or air. Set to air and preform an auto-program or channel scan. Instructions vary per brand/model. Make sure your antenna is setup correctly and hooked to the appropriate input/rf jack. For analog put the rabbit ears up high, for digital keep 'em low.

How do I get back my local channels on my Vizio by rabbit ears

Make sure that you have the TV tuner set up to receive ATSC (digital) signals via "Off Air" or "Antenna". Having it set to the "Cable Ready" mode will only get you Ch 2 - 13. These settings are usually available in set up and may even allow the TV to scan for available channels, etc.

Tv picture changes and recording is unwatchable when trying to rec one of 4 local channels

It is the signal from the 4 local stations that is the problem, because you can record all others ok. Borrow another VCR and try to record them, if its the same tell the people who run the local channels that they are losing viewing figures, because their channels cannot be recorded.

Whenever I slightly adjust the "Channel Volume"

You've got a loose wire! What's happening is that there's a bad potentiometer (the electrical component behind the knob) that's out of place and is only connecting fully at one point in the knobs circuit (the part where you get full volume) take it in to an amp tech at your local music store and they'll fix it up easily.

The tv is showing a double image and I cannot get the color right! Model number 50v500

Hello,
Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0in 5.4pt 0in 5.4pt; mso-para-margin:0in; mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:10.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman"; mso-ansi-language:#0400; mso-fareast-language:#0400; mso-bidi-language:#0400;} You need to upgrade to the high definition cable box---but first try this. Hook the cable from the wall directly to the tv and autoprogram it. If Comcast is anything like charter they transmit the local Hd channels in a format that digital tuner will pick them up. Just channel up/down and check out the channels with -1 and -2's behind them. Depending on where you are----your local channels will usually show up wherever they normally do but with a -1 behind it.

EX: local Fox channel on 47---autoprogram and check 47-1

If this is enough HD for you then get a two way spitter and hook your box back up and keep using the RCA (composite) cables for the best it can produce.

hope this will help..

Local TV channels drop out after a few minutes

We're still hanging on by our toenails waiting for a helpful response from FixYa. We did contact Philips tech support and they basically said that we need a new TV...so they're sending one to replace this one, and we are sending back the "old" one (that we just bought in December '08).

Auto Search for Local channels not responding

Hi elmergdavis,
Check and make sure your tv is set to CABLE and not to AIR or ANTENNA. This setting is usually just above the Auto Search utility on the meNU.
Let me know what you find and I can provide further assistance.
