Question about Pride Mobility Products Pride Mobility Celebrity X 3 Wheel Electric Scooter
I have a 12 yr. old Pride Mobility Sonic scooter that replacing the battery does not help the problem of error code lights indicating low charge a couple of times and then indicating wigwag problems.. I suspect the controller is bad because sometimes it will start up and run okay and then stop with some other symptom like the no brake or other weird symptom. Replaced batteries twice and charged each time. Strongly suspect controller problems.

The Pride Sonic scooter uses two 12 Amp hour batteries with fast tab terminals. To access the battery compartment lift off the cover under your feet. The black battery bag inside has a handle and two connectors coming out. Unplug the connectors and pull the battery bag out. Inside the bag, there are two batteries with tab connectors.
While you are replacing the batteries check the 5 Amp fuse to make sure it has not burned out. It is located near the charging port. Pull it out with your fingernails and hold it up to the light. Make sure the filament wire inside is still intact and has not burned open.
It is easy to replace these batteries yourself if you make sure to connect the terminals and wires correctly. Red goes to the + terminal, black goes to the - terminal. These batteries are available from many resources locally and on-line. Today, I saw them at the local Ace hardware store in my area. Hope this helps.

Remove the seat by depressing a lever on the right side of the chair and pulling upward. there is a boot that covers the shaft of the seat rest. remove the boot and check for a pin with a ring on it. Once this is gone remove the shroud and you will find the batteries. Remove them with care and do a cursory check of all connectors. Some units have a 30 amp fuse on series with the batteries. Make sure the fuses aren't causing your trouble. Be certain to replace the batteries with the right polarity (positive to positive, etc...) Hope this helps.
