Vizio L32 I have a Vizio L32 that will not power on. When I plug it in the light turns on (yellow) so I know that the power supply is providing some power. When I test the outputs I noticed that the there is 5v coming off of v1 and v2,v3 is zero output. Any ideas?

I have a visio L32, When you plug it in the yellow standby light comes on. When you push the power on button nothing happens. The power supply only puts out 5v on the three V1 output pins. I am not sure if the power supply is bad or the main video bord is bad. I need help!

Exact same problem with unit about 1.5 years old. Vizio says unplug and wait and replug. This doesn't help. I am afraid it is the circuit board too. If this is widespread problem Vizio should want to help.

I also have a Visio L32 that is about 2 years old but seldom used. I'll bet I have less than 100 viewing hours on the TV as it has been in a guest room. The power light is yellow and will not power up. I called Visio and they referred me to a service org that said it would cost $300 to have it fixed. I wonder about spending the money as for the amount of time I used the TV and to have it fail like this causes one to wonder about the quality of Visio products. Am I wasting my money?

I have a similar problem, but the Vizio 37 inch won't power at all (no yellow light). I found power supply boards for about $150...wonder if its worth the cost?

had mine about 2 and half years and i found out the tv has a blown curcuit board. it would cost me about 400 to fix it. there ought to be a recall on this or a class action suit.

I have a Vizio L32 that has been having some power issues. This was actually given to me as a gift. The first thing it started doing is the monitor would like flicker. The power would be on, and while watching something, it would just go black for a few seconds then come right back. It would do this maybe once or twice over about 8 hours or so. That lasted for about 4 months, then it started making a popping sound when you first turned it on. After several seconds of that, it would come on and work fine; only occasionally flickering. Then one day I turned it on, and it went thru the routine of popping and it just never stopped popping. I unplugged the TV for a few hours, pressed and held the power button for several seconds "to drain the circuits" (advice from a TV shop) and plugged it back in. Again the popping for a few seconds and then it came back on. It worked that way for about a week. Now it just sits and pops. No picture comes up. No end to the popping noise.

Any suggestions, or should I just go buy myself something of quality?

Post them on ebay or craigs list, offer a buy-it-now option, who knows...maybe someone knows how to fix these ;)

I have 2 of these L32's and had the same problem on one of them. I swapped the power supply's between the 2 and nothing changed, I then swapped the video main board, and the problem moved with the video board. Main video board was the problem with my Yellow light (power) issue.

I took it to the tv repair sop and my power supply printed circuit board was blown and it would have cost $609.00 for labor and parts

Vizio e320vl light changes from yellow to whioe and diplays

I've seen that problem before and for this person it turned out to be a bad ground on the outlet they were using. I've also seen waiting for it to turn it self on after its on off fit sometimes works.

No picture power just a yellow light

Check the power supply module for bad DC filter caps, and the DC output voltages. Check the backlight inverter board for short circuits.

L32 standby power only

I just had the same problem fixed. It is an internal problem with the "main board". You have to actually replace it. I am looking into fixing my other one identical to my other one and the identical problem too. Vizio fixed on "out of warranty", but for some reason will not fix the other, I guess I should be thankful, at least I know what the problem is.
