Re: Zenith D60WLCD with blue haze over entire picture
Throw the set away!the part required to repair the set is the optical engine.Zenith made alot of these sets with defective engine assemblies in wich the lcd filters burn, which cannot be replaced. The labor is also silly.Theunitrequires a complete teardown for replacment. You could buy a very nice new set for the repair bill

Go to the Zenith repair site. This has been resolved in a lawsuit. Zenith will fix it free of charge through 7/1/2010. The shop just picked my up to replace the light engine free of charge. Call 1-800-228-1757, have your model number and serial number, and where you purchased it. Here's the neat thing-the question I asked is "have they fixed the problem with the light engine, or is it going to keep going bad?" If happens again (blue lines/spots) before 7/1/2010, they'll replace the TV with a new and different TV of equal value!
The blue filter is burnt out. A very common problem in Zenith DLPs. There are 3 color filters, 1 blue (a pinkish color), 1 green (a grayish brown) and 1 red (it is red) they give you your colors for you picture. This is a simple fix.

sounds like you have a bad optical block, very costly but the manufacture of these is LG and they have a recall program on certain problems is this model you may want to give them a call and see if yours might be covered.
