SOURCE: Cabrio washer is giving an F 51 Code

The "F51" error code is common problem with the Cabrio. This is an RPS sensor error. The sensor is mounted along the motor windings under the washer and detects the rotation spin speed. The sensors on these units can go bad, causing the error code, and it has been a frequent problem. I would recommend you contact Whirlpool first (due to the unit only being a year old) and see if there is a recall or upgrade on this part. I believe there is. The repair would then be covered by the manufacturer. If I give you the steps to access and/or replace the sensor at this point, you may be voiding any existing warranty you may still have. Some components carry a longer warranty than your normal one year limited warranty from the manufacturer. Something you may consider.

If you have further questions, please let me know. I hope this helps you in some way.

SOURCE: whirlpool cabrio washer spin sounds like a jet now

i am afraid that the noise is ur bearings, give the drum a turn by hand with no washing in it and you will hear and feel a rumble. Dependant on type of washer you can replace the bearing, but sometimes the cost i am afraid is rather high and may be worth purchasing a new appliance.

I hope this helps

It won't spin out everytime and unlocks by self while running

I have a similar model HE doing the same thing. I just had a friend to look at it and when he pulled out the machine there was nut on the floor that apparently belonged to the screw that was holding the pulley in place for the belt. The belt was totally off. He put the belt back on, but it is still not spinning. So I think you shoukd check that. I've only had my washer for 1 year and 3 months.

5 month old Whirlpool Cabrio washer has moldy smell. Tub seems to empty well. Any ideas?

Smelly washers are common. Cabrio washers are HE and therefore use less water. By using less water, it doesn't rinse ITSELF as good as an older non-efficient machine. Things you can do to solve the problem. Buy a cleaner from Whirlpool called Affresh. It's 3 tablets that you throw in the washer without clothes and run it on the longest heavy duty cycle possible. Use the hot water setting and the longest duration. For existing smells use all 3 tablets. Then use 1 tablet every month to prevent reoccurring odors. You can also try the same type of cycle on hot water with a half of a gallon of bleach in the tub, or try it with a half of a gallon of vinegar. One of the 3 should do the trick.

My Whirlpool Washer Cabrio model# WTW6200SW has a F1 error (fault) code? Does anyone know what this is and how to clear/reset the code?

Called 1-800-253-1301 was told by the Whirlpool agent that there was a quality issue associated with the F1 fault code. They would take care of parts and labor free of charge! My machine is 28 months old. Talked to a woman named Valerie.

Whirlpool Cabrio Leaks Water

Good luck. Mine did the same and they sent their technicians out to fix the problem. A&E comes out and replaces the tub ring. They told me the washer is now made with the tub ring in place. When he opened the washer up I noticed I now have rust inside my washer. I have spent a month trying to get Whirlpool to replace my washer but they will only replace parts. A&E came out to replace the tub ring and now my door creaks and my washer does not go back together correctly. Hopefully you can justreturn the washer to where you got it. Read other reviews on line. It sounds like this washer is a lemon. Sorry!

Washer does not spin

I had the same problem in october- my had a bad wiring harness, some board problem, and a bad sensor. if it hadn't been under warranty the cost of parts alone would have been over 1000bucks.
