Question about Toshiba 46H84 46" Rear Projection HDTV-Ready Television
I am posting this here because I can't find this model number to ask someone whats wrong with it, i hope this gets to the right person, this problem started with the screen coming off and on then after it warmed up it was fine, now its taking 3 or 4 hours of warming up for it to stay on, but once its warmed up its fine, can anyone help me? thank you, Ron
This problem was reported in many user reviews of Toshiba projection TVs when I was researching prior to buying my 42H83. I took a chance anyway and have not had the problem It was apparently a bad circuit board in some models. To avoid a service call, why not just leave the set turned on, which most professionals recommend. The hardest thing on modern electronics is the heating and cooling cycles caused by turning them on and off. I leave all my A/V gear ON at all times. With the TV, just make sure you shut off the picture source when you're not watching to extend the life of the RGB tubes. Hope this helps or at least saves you some money. John
