How do i reset my aiwa d58 receiver back to normal

SOURCE: I have a Aiwa Stereo Receiver Av-D58. The sound

If I remember this model correctly, there is only 1 direct input. The remainder of the inputs are bufferred through a switching IC. It is likely that this IC is defective. Are there any other symptoms at all?
