I have installed the ScanThru driver on my computer (IMac with OS X, 10.4.8) but I am unable to scan directly. There is no icon on the desktop, dock, or applications. I am able to import the scanned image with Microsoft Power Point (Office 2004 for Mac) only. How can i scan an image and save it to the hard drive without opening another application?
Reinstal the drivers

No solution, but the same problem with my iMac. Followed all installation instructions but nothing appears as the manual instructed. Called Samsung's HELP humber and was told, very **** , that they cannot provide support for a Mac. Really? Why does Samsung claim the SCX-4521 is "totally compatible" with Mac? Either change their claim or get somebody on the desk who has a solution!

I followed the recomended procedures and, with my mac with leopard, it is not possible to scan nothing at all. What does it mean Mac Compatible?
I have found, since posting the problem, there is an application called 'Image Capture.app', which is able to scan and save to your hard drive in various formats via the Samsung scanner. Not sure how this application got there, but regardless, its in my Applications folder now. You can also capture scanned images in Office 2004 (for Imac) in the 'Insert', 'Picture', 'Scanner' tabs. It has worked very well since I found the magic 'buttons'. Let me know if you need more help to find the app and usage 'buttons'.
