Question about Apple iPod nano

1 Answer

Ipod nano I have a 2gb ipod nano, i brought a docking system for it which worked at 1st and one day i couldnt get any sound out of the speakers but it still charged. I took it back and purchased a house party speaker system and now have the same problem. Is it the system that is faulty or my nano? thanks

The dock connectors on most of the speaker systems available are cheap and break easily. I have experienced the same problems. if the ipod doesn't sit just right then it doesn't connect. why they seem to charge but not send music signals i'm not sure. highly unlikely that it's your ipod. either buy a good speaker dock (klipsch, bose, sonic impact... check amazon or e-bay for good deals) or use the headphone jack to connect to the speaker dock you have, and use the wall charger to supply power/charge your ipod.

Nano not compatible with On Stage

It will actually work, however, you will not be able to dock the iPod® Nano into the JBL On Stage™. You can connect the audio in cable to the headphone jack of your iPod. That's the only way, hope this helps. Pls rate solution. Thanks!!

I just bought the ipod nano 6th generation and it will not charge in the Bose docking system....my old one charges with no problem.....is there a fix for this? The nano plays fine it just wont charge

If it is a different model iPod then it is likely the Bose dock does not support the newer model. Quite often changes such as from iPhone 3 to iPhone 4, Bose had to release a new dock. The speakers and music will still always work, but the support will be limited for charging. Unfortunately you will not be able to fix this, other than upgrade the dock, or go back to your old ipod.

My i-f2 speakers have stopped working. Ipod charges when seated on the base so connection seems ok, but no sound emits - either from base or via jack plug. Ipod is working normally & have tried...

This happened to me also. I couldn't figure out what was wrong so I brought it back to the store and they said it couldnt be fixed. Sorry but it look like you will have to get a new one, but they might give you your money back on this one depending on how long you had it for.

    Itouch charging

    Hi there,

Some speaker systems which are only compatible for charging the ipod nanos and classics do not work with the iPod Touch and the iPhone, the internals are slighly different from one another which will not allow that speaker system to charge your iTouch.

To play & Charge your touch, i suggest getting a speaker system that supports the iPod touch platform.

    Hope this helps ?!
