Machine was in storage for a year, and now leaks from the bottom instead of into the cup. Hot water and steam still work. Took it apart, seems that most of the water gushes out from the valve (spring loaded inside plastic casing) on the hose between the distributor and the boiler. Checked distributor, seems to turn ok. Machine wasn't used so often, hard to believe the boiler is that calcified...Anyone have the boiler schematic or water flow diagram (there are three inputs/outputs on the **** thing, tons of hoses, hard to figure out how it works)

I swaped the hose around.
The o-ring at the element end is bigger and can be held in properly by the clip at the pump end. The bracket/clamp at the element end holds in the smaller o-ring sufficiently.

It seems like a piston sealig is damaged. Not so easy to replace but possible.

I have found the two parts mentioned in my previous Email on a webpage other than yours, however I have not ordered the parts at this time. If you have the parts in stock, let me know the price.
Once I receive the parts and replace them, I will know for sure if my troubleshooting is correct.
SOURCE: I have a Krups XP 7230 Expresso Machine. Water is...
I have a xp7240 which I believe has the same housing as yours. I can remove the bean container by pulling off the grind selector knob and removing the only screw.
Then remove the scute for the cleaning tablets. Then remove the two screws that were covered by the scute. Remove the water tank. Under the tank remove the two screws.
Then the trick where everyone seems to look for: The facade of aluminum can be moved off. Set the machine on the floor and pull hard upwards at the facade. This comes off (pull hard!) and four screw are uncovered. Remove them and pull then back housing of the machine (remove first the containers/drawers). Now the inner parts are freely accessible. Take photos and remove the components from top till bottom to get to the bad parts that need replacement. The valve that leaks is on the bottom of the machine (will cost you a lot of time to get to it. Don't know the replacement price.) Good luck!
