I have just bought a Fuji 1gb xD memory card and when I insert it into the card slot in the Lexmark P4350 it gives the message "Memory card problem" and will not read the images on the card. I have checked the card in another card reader, and the Lexmark reads a Fuji 16mb xD card correctly. Any suggestions as to why it won't read the 1gb card?

From what i know and i own a Fuji FinePixA360.According to the Manual 1gb is the highest amount of memory listed. Also you can not put a M+ (high speed) card in the camera will read error.Bascially the Fuji is an older camera and was designed for 1gb and must use the "M" xd picture card (DPC-M1GB) .Thats all the higher memory that was available when the camera was manufactured.I don't know if a 2 gb memory card will work but if you do try one make sure its the older M NOT M+.Hope this helps someone,Gary Malcontent
If your new xD card has an "H" or an "M" before the 1gb, it is not compatible with your camera unless a firmware upgrade is performed (go to www.fujifilm.ca and follow the links for support to the firmware upgrade section). If the card doesn't have the H or M, you just need to format the card in the "set-up" menu of the camera.
Fuji uses a 16MB xD card with
the camera, which won't hold too many 4 Megapixel photos
at the highest quality setting. So you should plan
on buying a larger card right away. xD cards are currently
available as large as 1GB, and I think 128MB is a good
starter size for most people. Be warned that xD cards
tend to be more expensive than CompactFlash and SD
Try this site for a firmware update. You need to get a AC power adapter for it to work though. It is from Fuji and it worked fine for my A120. The older XD cards are of a different format then the newer ones so if your new XD card has an 'M' on it you will need to do the firmware solution.

This could possibly be a problem with the card reader ..Just insert a different card and see if it works..If it reads other cards..then i advice that you get new card coz the recovery softwares and stuff r pretty expensive and will be a waste of money..
