No Disc I have a Panasonic DVD Home Theater Sound System SA-HT95. It will play CD's, but when I insert a DVD a message come on saying No Disc. What shoud I look for or do? Thanks Tom

    My DVD"s are original, and they play great on my other DVD players.

Panasonic sa-ht95 dvd home theater sound system no read discs.

You might try taking the back off and using a can air on it.do not use the can of air up close. Use it in short bursts. Also use a dvd cleaner the laser eye may be dirty. You can clean it off with a q-tip and alcohol. Make sure it is dry before use. Wait at least 5 minutes to be safe. Un plug it first. Be careful not to touch anything in there especially the boards, They are sensitive to electricity in your body. Most techs wear a static wrist starp.

Plays only cd's no dvd's reads no disc

The laser lens would have got repaired inside. Please change it.IT will read the dvds. It cost about 25$ i suppose

NO DISC message

Open up the unit and clean the lens using a cotton swab and alcohol. If that does not resolve the problem, try a music CD and report the results here. I suspect that the optics have begun to fail. If that is the case, the music CD will play but a DVD will not. The optics assembly is available (part # RAF3023A-1) for about $60.

Panasonic home theatre system 5 cd changer says no play when inserting dvd

Try cleaning the pickup with a cleaner disc-i'm assuming this unit IS supposed to play DVDs, of couse!
