I was having this same problem and it seemed to always happen on cold days!! Happend about three months ago and the tv did not work for three days...just happend again this morning. All you have to do to fix it is to leave the tv turned on for about 15-20 minutes with just the sound working. Than turn the tv off and back on and it should work. You may also cover with blanket during process to speed it up. Do this whenever needed as it should only happen during colder months or if you have a/c in house turned on really high. I myself have a room in the basement where it stays cooler..add in the snowy weather we have been getting and it is no wonder the tv was too cold.
This problem does not just consume the memorex brand but just about all of the flat panel tvs.. Televisions with longer times between uses are more supceptible.
Hope this helps!!

I had a similar power issue with this model.I opened it up and took the metal houseing off the cicuit board.Somehow it was shorting the tv out.I left it off and it has worked for 1 yr 5 mnths so far.
