Mardokenly, start with the door lock assy. It looks like power has to go through the wax motor assy (door lock)then the light before getting to the main control board. With the power off and harness removed from the door lock mechanism it should ohm out at 950 to 1100 ohms at room temp. If this passes the test another area to look would be the timer and control board. If the control board does not see a change in timer inputs after 5 minutes of power to it, it will shut the washer off. Things to check would be loose connections at the timer and control board. They have had a lot of service bullitins and service flashes out on this model. One of which has to do with the loss of the nuetral line from the power cord to the control board. When this happens, of course the washer will shut off. You may want to call Maytag and see if you are covered under these service bullitins. Catriver..post back.
