Motor runs, but, I have no spin cycle unless the washer is filled with a very light load. I would like to check the belt for sure and I could sure use some information about checking the clutches and adjusting them or replacing them if necessary. If it's the transmission, I'll let GE replace it since that part is still under warranty.
Hi toke some time but find this on youtube, hope this help's :)

gnarly, do you have the updated motor, harness and start cap? If it goes into spin and does this chunk a chunka chunka bit. Take a meter to the white and white/red wire going to the motor. If you have a steady 120V, replace the motor with the new kit. What the motor is doing is jogging between high to low speed. Catriver..post back.

If it is draining then the motor is turning the pump so it is ok.
This washer has no belt so that is not the problem.
Remove the cabinet and bypass the lid switch wires and put into a spin. Watch the clutch to see if it is turning. If the clutch housing is not turning and you know for sure the coupler is not broken then you need a new transmission. If the clutch housing is turning but the basket is not spinning you have something binding the basket or you need a new basket drive and clutch.
If you have only looked at the coupler from underneath you may not be able to tell if it is broken in the center. If it is broken again your transmission is not staying in neutral drain until the water is drained. That means it is going into spin with full load of clothes and water. This puts a lot of pressure on the coupler and causes them to fail prematurely. If this is the case you will need a new transmission.
Post back if you have any questions.

Same problem (but without any smell). You should try to reset the two computer boards in the washer. You do this by 1) unplugging machine and wait for 30 secs; 2) plug in machine; and 3) open and fully close the lid at least 5 times. This resets computer boards, which can get messed up by power surges, etc.

The pin is a shipping pin and serves no purpose after the machine is set up. These machines comes with a plastic strap through the back panel to hold components in place for shipping. There are plastic cups that the pins fall into after the strap is pulled.
Ignore the pin.
Your no spin problem is a stripped out direct drive coupling between the motor and transmission.
It is a easy fix.
Use the attached video as reference to change out the part.

This is the electronic washer. Unplug for two minutes, plugin then open and close lid 7 times. This will reset motor. Also make sure belt is not broken.

I watched the video you suggested and it was 100% on target. Once I got the front and bottom panel off, I pushed the belt between the motor pulley and the transmission pulley with my finger and noted that I was able to achieve a deflection of 3/4." What is the allowable belt deflection specification?
