Tape will not eject / Battery full

I was rewinding the tape and pressed stopped. All of a sudden an annoying beep started sounding off and the word "EJECT" appeared on the screen. When I went to eject, the compartment wouldn't eject the cassette. I don't think it's the battery as it shows full and i've had it plugged into an outlet. Help??

While the eject process is trying to happen remove the battery and replace it. keep initiating the eject process and removing the battery and it should finally eject. If you attempt to use the camera again put in a new tape so you don't lose a tape that contains footage you may want to save.

Panasonic PV-L559 Camera is stuck rewinding the tape

It sounds like your camera is experiencing a mechanical issue with the tape mechanism. Here are a few steps you can take to try and resolve the problem:
  1. Power off the camera: Turn off the camera and remove any power sources, such as the battery or AC adapter. This will ensure the camera is completely powered down.
  2. Eject the tape: Look for a manual eject button or lever on the camera. It's usually located near the tape compartment or on the side of the camera. Press or slide the eject mechanism to try and release the stuck tape. Be gentle and avoid using excessive force.
  3. Gently assist the tape: If the tape doesn't eject smoothly, you can try gently assisting it using a small, non-metallic object like a toothpick or a plastic tool. Carefully insert the object into the tape compartment and try to guide the tape back into the cassette while the eject mechanism is activated. Again, be gentle to avoid damaging the tape or the camera.
  4. Reset the camera: After removing the tape or resolving any potential jam, reinsert the power source (battery or AC adapter) and turn on the camera. This can sometimes reset the internal mechanisms and restore normal functionality.
If the above steps don't resolve the issue, it's advisable to contact the manufacturer's support or a professional camera repair service for further assistance. They have the expertise to diagnose and repair mechanical problems with the camera's tape mechanism. Make sure to provide them with all the relevant details about the issue and the steps you've already taken to troubleshoot it.

Canon hi-8 camcorder will not playback recordings. full battery. ejects tape during playback

It sounds like the tape isn't turning and the player thinks it's to the end of the tape and ejecting it.Perhaps when you rewind its drawing the tape up so tight the sensor thinks it's at the end.Take the tape out and see if you can turn it by hand to release the tension. There's got to be some form of release mechanism to let the tape free wheel.Once loose I'll bet it will playback just fine.

Tape will not eject

If you open the eject thingy like normal then look for a small white plastic tap. its located right underneath the "start/stop" text you see on the back end of the camera (where the record-button is). You´ll need something like a small screwdriver or similar. Press it and and the tape ejects like normal. Worked for me. Saved me the repair bill :)

Tape stuck in VCR, won't eject.

you posted 2 different problems here...
to answer this one ". The tape is stuck, won't eject and I'd like to get it out without damaging the VCR unit."...open unit, find motor that moves tape ejector and spin that motor by hand (power off)

the other problem, "the VCR will not insert a tape. It keeps rejecting it."...open unit and fully turn ejection motor until home position is reached...this is a home sensor switch not being activated.

My Drive will not eject the tape

Turn off the tape drive. (Switch in the back of the unit. Wait 2 minutes and then turn unit back on. Tape drive should issue a write data command and then rewind the tape. After rewind completes the tape should eject. If it does not eject after rrewind completes than try holding the eject button for 5 seconds to attempt a "force eject"

Note: Do not repeatedly press the eject button as this can cause damage to the tape and the tape drive.
