Does the asus cm5571 have wireless capabilities

Hi there
According to this webpage which gives the specs for the Asus, it does not have wireless capability built in
http://www.cnet.com/uk/products/asus-essentio-cm5571-br003/specs/
It can easily be used with a wireless network connection either by adding a wireless network PCI adaptor, or a USB wireless network adaptor. Neither of these are expensive and the USB adaptor is often preferred as it only needs a spare USB port on the machine and the computer does not need to be opened up as it does for the PCI adaptor.
Hope this helps

I was having problems connecting to a network, somehow I hit disable and now it seems dead, I went into the icon and it says no card found, no lights nothing, how do I bring it back re- enable it

Assuming you're in Windows, Hit the start button, right-click computer/my computer, hit manage.

This will bring you to the computer management console. Open the Device Manager from the left pane.

Expand the "Network Adapters" option listed. From here, you can enable/disable your Network Card or check for up to date drivers.

To connect your Xbox 360 gaming console to a NETGEAR router's wireless network:
  1. Turn off your Xbox 360 and disconnect anything from the I/O port on the back of the console.
  2. Insert your Xbox 360 wireless adapter to the I/O port as instructed by the wireless adapter manual.
  3. Connect the wireless adapter cable to your Xbox 360 I/O port.
  4. Flip up the network adapter's antenna.
  5. Turn on your Xbox 360.
    • If you are using an unencrypted wireless network, your Xbox should connect to it automatically and you do not need to proceed to Step 6.
    • If you are using an encrypted wireless network click the System tab, and then click Network Settings and continue with Step 6.
  6. On the Network Settings page, select Edit Settings.
  7. On the Edit Settings page, select your wireless settings on the Basic Settings tab.
  8. On the Select Wireless Network page, select your wireless network.
  9. On the WEP Network page, type your wireless network key, and then click Done.
  10. On the Apply Settings page, click Test Xbox Live.
  11. If this is the first time you have connected your Xbox 360 to Xbox Live, you will probably be prompted to apply an update. If there are no updates, the Xbox Live Connection page shows that you're connected to Xbox Live. Press the Y button on your controller to continue.

If testing the Xbox it says DNS failed, then update your NETGEAR router firmware:
  1. From your computer, open an Internet Browser and navigate to http://kb.netgear.com to download the firmware for your router.
  2. Log in to your NETGEAR router by browsing to http://www.routerlogin.net or http://www.routerlogin.com. Enter the username (admin) and password. By default, the password is password or 1234 unless it has already been changed.
  3. Click Router Upgrade on the top left pane under Maintenance, browse for the firmware downloaded and click Upload.
  4. Wait for the router to reboot.

Your laptop should have a switch on the front or side that switches your wireless radio on. If this has been done you must right-click on the wireless indicator and you should see en enable option. These are the only 2 places you can enable or disable the wireless radio.
