In what I know was a stupid, impatient mistake, I connected my camera to my computer before installing the picture CD. The computer recognizes that there is a driver, but it can't read anything on it. I installed the CD but to no avail. Is there a way to go back and re-do this?!?!
Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer.
The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.
Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.

if you have Vista you wont need any software, but if your on XP you may need the driver cd, click below, but to get any software you have to be registered with fuji. http://www.fujifilm.co.uk/digital/cameras/s5600/index.php?page=drivers&flash=9
SOURCE: Need Fuji FinePix 2650 Software
Try the fuji 800 number they may be able to sell you a new driver cd. otherwise you can buy a card reader at any camera store that will eliminate the need for software completely for about $15.
It wont break anything. They just want you to use their program!
if you connect the camera via the usb cord that came with it your computer will detect it and you can access it in MY COMPUTER icon.. just explore the new drive that shows up..might be a pic of your camera or say removable disk F, G, H etc...
In this drive will be the folders that house your pics.. just copy and paste into your desktop and voilla!!!
