I have a X37SV-Naga 37 in LCD from costco.com The sound cuts out periodically (not a source problem) and suddenly. I am able to still get sound from the sub output but not the headphone output. The sound will remain off for several days and then will come back on just to suddenly go out again at some point. It has done this a dozen or so times. I have had the tv for about 5 months with no other issues.

most lcd/led tv,s the front panel is the display you can try polishing the screen with very fine abrasive like jewelers rouge or your local car dealer sell plastic polish to remove scratches from plastic headlamp lenses if not its a new display a new tv is poss a better option. i have used silver polish to rejuvinate car headlamp lenses to good effect
Do you get sound? If you do, then the problem will be in the backlight inverter board. You should have 24vdc presents on the main power supply which supplys the power to the inverter board. Please verify that is the case.
