Question about RCA P52960 52" Rear Projection Television
I have a 2002 rca 54" the past 3 days i turn it on and every few mins. it turns off and on again . i have checked all power to tv but everything looks good does anybody have any ideas? or maybe where i can find someone to fix it here north of toronto ?
Im having the same problem with my set, same model and things. We have it where we turn it on, then it scrolls through channels and then shuts on and off. I would think it's the same thing as the solution mentioned. I know of a TV shop I can stop by and ask about this, what would the costs be associated with getting this fixed, so I know if he's telling me the truth. Thanks!

There are two possibilitie that I can think of for this model set. There have been some instances where coolant from one or more of the projection tubes leak out and drip onto the PC board causing intermittent problems. If not that, then you could have a defective capacitor or intermittent solder connection causing the problem. Capicator C13105 - a 1uf/100v Cap Located Near U13101 Syscon IC has caused this symptom also. Hope you can find someone willing to come out in the cold to fix it for ya.
