My Audi 2005 Air con system will not blow cold air is this anything to do with the vent at the front of the vehicle that creates an airflow

I understand that the lower panel on the front nearside of my vehicle is not blocked in behind the small bars that go across to the centre panel is this correct as I am led to believe it is to allow air into the air con system.

Well, I don't know. I would have to see the car.
Generally, as long as air can flow thru the condenser and radiator, the ac system can produce cold air.
As for the interior, you normally pull in outside air and cool or heat it, but you can also recirculate inside air which would close off the outside fresh air intake for the cabin.

You will have to change the heater core. 9 out of 10 times, when the heater is not heating the air, it is a bad heater core.

2005 Jeep Liberty Windshield keeps foging up what would cause it to do that. AC was blowing cold and stop then fog started coming out of the vents.

fogging inside a car out of vents
with aircon happens sometimes

nothing wrong with the air con system at all .....fog will clear

scientific cause ...cold air hits hot air
the internal temp of the car is higher than the external temp
or other way round

I have a 2001 Honda Odyssey. I only recently bought this. The rear air con vents only blow out cold air, no matter what the temperature it is set to. The dealer I bought from said this was standard, and...

I've have never heard of a "only cold air system", but hey, nothing surprises me anymore. try replacing the control unit in the front. hopefully that will take care of the problem. If not you need to check your blend valve. (headache depending on location)

Explorer front air not blowing, rear blowing cold air

If the front is still blowing air but not air conditioned air than it is likely that a flap that controls airflow to the front has failed. The rear would still work as it is controlled by an auxiliary control.

If there is no air coming out of the front at all I would suspect a blower motor as the rear has it's own blower.

Either way a scan tool that is able to access the HVAC system is going to be the only to accurately diagnose this problem.

2005 Pathfinder Heat Flow problem

I am having/had the same problem. My rear heater has not worked the last 2 winters, still trying to figure that one out. But I think I solved the front heat problem myself. The heater was blowing cold air while idling and hot air when the car was moving.

I jacked up the front of the vehicle, took the cap off of the reserve tank for the radiator, turned the car on and ran the heat (AC off) for 15 minutes. This is supposed to release any air bubbles in the coolant system and I did see air bubbles emerge as I was watching (this might be normal occurance, I'm far from a mechanical expert). Anyway, this did not immediately solve the problem, still blowing cold air as it sat there idling after 15 minutes. Dejected, I put the cap back on, lowered the vehicle and resigned myself to taking it to a dealer.

But a funny thing happened the next day, the coolant level was a lower (no leaks on the floor) so I filled up, and sure enough, when I started the car and let it warm up a little, hot air started coming out of the heater!!!

As far as my wife knows, I fixed the problem for the price of a bottle of coolant, so I am a hero...but at first I thought it didn't work. Here we are a month later and still blowing warm air and haven't had to replace any more coolant...the internet is a wonderful thing!

Hope this works for you, and I hope I can figure out my rear heater problem as well.
