You're quite unlikely to have blocked your drain hose, although you could have kinked it (so check for this first). Failing that, common blockage sites are in the pump chamber, and in the hose connecting the pump to the bottom of the drum - particularly where that is pushed onto the pump. You may also find blockages in the outlet from the drum. It is a pain when manufacturers don't bring the pump out onto the front panel. Best bet is probably to tip the machine backwards against a wall and see if you can get access through the underside. Failing that, remove the back panel and go in that way. Just follow the drain hose, and you'll find the pump. Before you start taking it apart, make sure the power is off, and be prepared for there to be quite a lot of water hiding in that corner of the machine. A.

Washing machine not draining water

Hi.

Disconnect power, then move the machine forward and check the drain hose at the back of the machine. Check if the hose is kinked or blocked and check that the hose height setting is as from manual. If the hose elbow is set at incorrect height the water will be siphoned back inside the tub.

Access the drain pump filter (this is located behind front-bottom access trim or door ). If there is blockage in there the water will not be drain completely. Remove trim, unscrew the cap and be prepared to collect water. Ensure that power is off. Remove any blockage in there.

lean or replace the pressure switch and the rubber hose connected to the pressure switch. This device detects water level and stops drain when there is no more water.

If all that does not help, then the drain pump itself must be tested. In some rare case the main control module may be defective. Test all the rest first.

The problem is usually given by blockage, drain hose or by pressure switch.

Regards.

I have a kenmore elite not draining cleaned out by pump no blockage pump bad

Remove the lower panel and put the machine in a spin mode and see if the drain pump sounds like it is working. You may have to remove the hose from the pump to the bottom of the main drum. You could have a sock or something small get around the spin tub and make its way to the hose going to the pump and blocking it. Also check to make sure there are no crimps in the drain hose going from the pump to the main drain.
If every think is clear and there is power going to the pump and still not working, replace the drain pump and motor assembly.

Does not drain

Check drain hose first.

If you do not find any blockage, then you will need to access the pump, remove pump hose and look for blockage in there.

If there is no blockage at all, then either the water level switch, a faulty pump, a wiring problem, or a faulty timer board can be cause the machine not draining.
