Connect the RTS-HE10 via HDMI to the TV and the Sky+ via scart to the TV. Then get a stereo RCA to 3.5mm jack lead and connect from your TV's stereo RCA output (red/white) to the Aux 3.5mm jack (like a headphone socket) on the RTS-HE10. Select Aux on the RTS-HE10 when you want to listen to whatever is on the TV.

Your sky HD may have to output one is HDMI that will go to your receiver the other is component you can run that to your television and you still will get a decent picture at 7:20 P

I have a sky+ hd box connected to an lg 42LH300 tv through hdmi and an LG HT805SH home cinema through optical cable. Whenever i turn sky over i lose sound and have to turn cinema on/off to sound returns ...

One of the way to connect the whole system is using only HDMI cable version 1.3a. There is audio return channel built into the cable. So you do not have to connect the optic cable.
Sky box to TV using HDMI
LG HT805 to TV using HDMI. Even the Sky box audio will come back to the LG-HT through the audio return path.

I have an LG TV with an LG HOME CINEMA SYSTEM problem is: watch dvd/blue ray - video fine sound fine (through speakers) watch tv / sky -- video fine sound None throughspeakers on...

Hello,
There are two things that I can suggest.
1-Test your optical cables to make sure they a good on a known working source because they are very fragile and break very easily.
2-Try to eliminate the use of optical output from tv to receiver. There may be a problem from the HDMI to optical conversion at the tv. Instead, try running the audio directly from the source to the receiver, and let the tv deal with video input only.
Hope this helps,
Good Luck.

How do i connect to sky hd and sony kdl 40w 4710 and dav-is10 i have hdmi from skyhd to tv and hdmi from home cinema to tv what else is required as i cant get surround sound from tv

you need a Optical audio cable, run this from the back of your Sky HD box to the Surround sound. Not all Broadcast are transmitted in DD so press your i button on the sky remote and you will see this on the yellow bar above the program information if it is..

Might be worth running a set of White and Red audio cable from the HD box to the Surround sound as well that way you can just mute your telly and have the lot coming through the surround sound system.

Hope this clears things up for you

Samsung le40a lcd - picture quality

Hi - I have some suggestions. The following factors effect picture quality:
1. Source (because LCD TVs have much higher picture quality than traditional CRT "Tube" TVs, the worse your source material, the worse it looks on a LCD TV).
DVD and Sky/Digital TV should look excellent on this TV when connected with a good quality Scart lead (nothing too expensive, but a Oxygen Free Copper Gold lead may help) directly into one of the TV's Scart inputs (avoid using "switching" boxes for multiple equipment).
Also, bear in mind that this is a HUGE screen (40 inches I think) and will REALLY show up bad source material.
The best advice I can give is, if you have HD-ready equipment use HDMI connections for everything (ideally with an HD-uplscaling DVD player which will "improve" the quality of standard DVDs on the TV - I recommend models by Philips) and check that you are in "Movie" or "Cinema" mode on the TV.
Make sure that all of your equipment, like your Sky digibox, is set to 16:9 mode (not 4:3) aswell to preserve the true widescreen aspect ratio.
Hope that helps!
