Question about Acer TravelMate 4672WLMi Notebook
I recently loaded on to my lap top Skype and with it I loaded a Logitech Quickcam Express and down loaded up dated soft ware from Logitech. When I open up the webcam it changes my lap tops screen resolution from 32bit colour quality and resolution 1280x800 to 8bit and 640x480 resolution. Whilst the webcam picture remains fine. If I need to change lap tops screen resolution, each time I have to go into properties and change manualy. If I remove the webcam program from my task bar my screen reverts back to 32 bit and resolution 1280x800. Help!!!!
I had this problem on my PC and I tried everything from updating drivers to re installing the software and updating my graphics card but nothing seemed to work.
And then as a last resort I right clicked on the icon on my desktop and chose properties and clicked on the Compatability tab and unchecked on display settings Run in 640x480 screen resolution.
This worked and did not affect the webcam in anyway.

You may have to update your graphics drivers, as they are obviously conflicting, with either Skype or the cam software, try the camera in the Logitech software or windows movie maker; without the skype programme running. http://support.acer-euro.com/drivers/notebook/tm_4670.html
